HarnessLaunch (referred to as “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard personal information when you visit harnesslaunch.com (the “Website”) and when you use the HarnessLaunch desktop application (the “App”). Together we refer to these as the “Service”.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Cookie Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:

- The content of your message, including any details you choose to include about your request or your licence.
- Account and licence information where the App requires sign-in, such as your email address and licence key.
- Information collected automatically
- Usage data about how you interact with the Website, including IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring pages, and the pages you view.
- Approximate location derived from your IP address, at country or region level.
- Server and security logs generated by our hosting and security tooling.
- Cookies and similar technologies
- Small files stored on your device that help the Website function, remember your preferences, and measure traffic.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Website and the App.
- Respond to your enquiries submitted through the contact form or by email.
- Send newsletters and product updates where you have asked to receive them.
- Verify licences, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
- Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it, including aggregated traffic analysis.
- Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
3. AI Processing and Your Code
This section is specific to the App and matters more than any other part of this Policy.
When you give the App a task, the description you write and the portions of your project the agent needs in order to carry out that task are transmitted to third-party AI model providers for processing. Depending on the task, this may include file contents, file names and paths, and output from commands the agent runs.
- What leaves your machine: only the content needed to process the request you made.
- What stays local: your project files remain on your own equipment. We do not upload your project as a whole.
- Third parties: AI model providers process this data under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their handling of it and cannot guarantee how long they retain it.
- Your responsibility: do not put passwords, API keys, private keys, tokens, or other secrets into prompts, and do not point the agent at files containing them. You are responsible for reviewing what a task will cause the agent to read.
4. How We Protect Your Information
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), restricted administrative access, and security monitoring. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and any relevant authority as required by applicable law.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Contact form submissions and email correspondence are kept for as long as needed to resolve your enquiry, plus a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping.
- Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
- Server and security logs are retained for a limited period for security and diagnostic purposes.
- Licence and account records are kept for as long as your licence is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations.
When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers that help us run the Service, including our hosting provider, email delivery and newsletter provider, analytics provider, and security tooling.
- AI model providers, as described in section 3, to the extent necessary to carry out the tasks you request in the App.
- Legal requirements, where we are obliged to disclose information by law, court order, or valid request from a competent authority.
- Protection of rights, where disclosure is necessary to investigate fraud, enforce our Terms & Conditions, or protect the safety and rights of us, our users, or others.
- Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honour this Policy.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Restriction and objection: ask us to limit or stop certain processing.
- Portability: request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent: take back your consent at any time where processing is based on consent, such as newsletter subscriptions.
- Complain: lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests, you have the right to object. Where we process data to perform a contract with you or on the basis of your consent, different rules may apply.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Website working, remember your preferences, and measure how the site is used. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the Website works. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
9. Third-Party Links
The Website and the App may link to external sites and services that we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to delete it.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the Website or by email before they take effect. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
