HarnessLaunch is an independent Windows launcher for DeepSeek Harness. DeepSeek Harness is an open-source command-line agent for coding tasks. HarnessLaunch installs it, starts it, and keeps it up to date on your PC, so you never have to assemble the toolchain yourself. HarnessLaunch is not affiliated with DeepSeek AI.
Who We Are
We are a small software team that builds developer tools. HarnessLaunch is our answer to a simple problem: DeepSeek Harness is useful, but setting it up on Windows by hand is tedious, and we got tired of watching people give up at that step.
We build for people who ship software every day and for people who are just getting started. The tool should fit the way you already work instead of asking you to learn a new environment first.
What We Do
HarnessLaunch is a Windows application that runs DeepSeek Harness for you. It:
- Installs what is needed: no Node.js to add, no PATH edits, and no environment variables set by hand.
- Starts the local server: one button starts DeepSeek Harness and checks that it is answering.
- Opens it at the right moment: your browser only opens once the local server is actually ready, so you don’t land on an error page.
- Updates and removes it cleanly: the same window handles updates, and Uninstall removes both HarnessLaunch and DeepSeek Harness.
Our Vision
We think the value of an AI coding agent is not that it writes code for you, but that it removes the friction between having an idea and having it working. Our goal is narrower than that: the setup should never be the reason you give up on a tool. Install it, press one button, and start working.
Why Choose HarnessLaunch?
- No setup ceremony: a normal Windows installer. No terminal session, no commands copied out of a README.
- Setup handled for you: HarnessLaunch prepares what DeepSeek Harness needs and tells you if something is missing.
- Runs locally: DeepSeek Harness runs on your own machine with your own API key, and your project stays there.
- One place for everything: run, update, and uninstall from the same small window, with nothing left running in the background.
Our Commitment to You
We keep the documentation and the release notes in plain English and write down what changed with each release. When something is broken, we want to hear about it. Bug reports and feature requests genuinely shape what we build next.
Our documentation and release notes are public, and our contact address reaches a human.
